
Brington & Whilton Pre-school is situated in a quiet rural village. The group takes full advantage of this countryside location and nature walks and village outings are an important part of the curriculum.
The Pre-school is registered with the Northampton Early Years Development and Child Care Partnership and provides structured activities for children aged 2 years 6 months to 5 years. The group receives funding for 3 year olds in the term after they are 3 and all 4 year olds.

Children are provided with a snack (which varies with the current topic) and a drink of milk or water during all sessions. Water is available at all times during Pre-School.
The Pre-school endeavours to take regular walks in the village making use of the outside space. The group visits a local farm at lambing time and a summer outing at the end of the summer term is usually arranged.

NOTE: These dates are subject to change
Sessions are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (during term time). These run from 9.30am to 1.00pm on Monday and Wednesday when children stay for packed lunch and Friday 9.30am to 12noon. At collection time, parents/carers are requested to wait outside the hall until the session has ended.
In the last half of the summer term, the Pre-school sessions on Fridays are held at Brington Primary School to enable the children to familiarise themselves with a school environment. Children are invited to attend this session even if they will not be attending Brington School.

Fees are currently £6.75 per session for children under 3 and £8.75 for children over 3. Lunch sessions cost £2.25 which is payable half-termly in advance. No reduction of fees can be given for illness or holidays. One month’s notice must be given for a child leaving or full fees in lieu of notice must be paid. Children eligible for 3 and 4 year funding will only be billed for weeks not included within the grant and the lunch sessions.
The Manager and two members of staff support each Pre-school sessions. Parents are welcome to support us at any time they wish. A committee runs the Pre-school and all parents are invited to become members. Meetings are held approximately once a term. The group is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and as a charity has adopted the PLA Constitution.
Please notify the Manager or a staff member if someone other than the parent or usual carer is to collect the child. This should be written in the Collection Book.
