A sound first stepping stone in Early Years Education where children flourish as happy, confident & secure individuals, well prepared for the move to primary school.

Based at Whilton Village Hall, we are within easy reach of The Bringtons, and being only 10 minutes drive from Daventry & Long Buckby, we are also the preferred pre-school of discerning parents from Daventry, Norton, Welton, Watford and The Haddons.

Where are we?

What do we do?

The Pre-school is registered with the Northampton Early Years Development and Child Care Partnership and provides structured activities for children aged 2 years to 5 years. The group receives funding for 3 year olds in the term after they are 3 and all 4 year olds.

Our Aims

Learning through Play

The Pre-school structures activities around areas of Learning and Development as recommended Early Years Foundation Stage. These are:

Prime Areas

Specific Areas

Children are given the opportunity to learn by playing with a wide variety of activities including:

Children are provided with a snack (which varies with the current topic) and a drink of milk or water during all sessions. Water is available at all times during Pre-School.

Outside Play / Outings

The pre-school has been given the use of the local Spinney and is in the process of creating a garden in which the children will be able to dig and explore by growing flowers and vegetables. When outdoors, children have the freedom to explore, to take risks and discover the real world with all their senses, this can have a positive effect on a children's self esteem and confidence.
At various times throughout the school year the pre-school joins with Brington Primary School for joint activities.
